Cave Man Axe

I have seen a lot of how to build a axe instructables. But most of these are way to complicated to make and can't be made in a survival scenario. So I decided to make this simple stone axe

Step 1: Materials

1 a large hammer ( optional )

2 A large piece of sharp stone ( I used a Pisces of limestone from my back yard

3 a hard stone

4 A wood stick

5 cordage

6 saw

7 duck-tape

Step 2: Make Notches in the Stone

In order to attach the stone to the wood. I used a saw for this step.

Make one notch in the top and the bottom make sure that you make them deep enough so they don't come out.

Step 3: (optional) Sharp Point

Take a the small sharp stone and place in on top of the stick then very tightly duck tape it down

Step 4: Attaching the Blade

Take the rope and tie it in the notches and rap it tightly to the stick then take duck tape and tape the lose areas. Make sure that it is tight

Step 5: Optional

Decorate the blade
