I will eventually make a step by step for this but for now I'll just give you basic details.
Make a pinch pot, add eyes, ears, mouth, hair you name it you can add it...basically make an interesting face.
Once you have the face done add any details.
Fire the pot and then glaze.
After glazed fire again.
Once out of the glaze fire you can fill it with dirt and add grass seed and grow hair in your face pot!
I did this with my 4th grade art classes and they LOVED IT!

Awe thanks! Yep I'm working on the step by step now. The kids really did love this project, they were adorable at how protective their were of their pots, and I get hair updates on a daily basis!
