Champagne Caps Board

My mom has been collecting champagne caps for a few years now and was looking for a nice way to display them. As a surprise I made her an MDF frame in which she could place them.

Supplies

1 Mdf plate 6mm

1 Mdf plate 3mm

Step 1: SVG File

In general all champagne caps are approximately the same size (30mm in diameter) so I created an svg file with 16 by 8 cirkels that were cut out of a 6mm mdf plate using a lasercutter.

Step 2: Inserting Capsules

Once al holes were cut out I glued a 3mm mdf plate to the back, painted it and started inserting all the champagne caps.

I've collected a lot of things in my time, but I've never seen a collection of the cork-end caps before! The display board looks really good. I hope that your mum appreciated your work :-)
