Intro: Charger Box ( Clean Up Your Electronics)

Today we will be making a charger box for all your little electronics for todays world.

We all know its a pain keeping all those cables plugged into various slots untangled and neat so were going to keep it all in one nice little box.

STEP 1: Supplies.

We need to gather supplies so heres a quick list of things you will need.

1 Power strip

1 Box ( I picked mine up from a craft store but a shoe box will do.)

1 heavy duty scissors or a cutting blade.

Some craft glue.

some small decorative frames.

STEP 2: Building the Sucker

Before cutting you must keep in mind that the hole have to be big enough for a least of one your plug ends to fit in to thread the cord through.

Using a template of some kind, stencil a outline around it (whatever your using as a template ).
This will be one of the holes in the top of the lid.

You can cut as many holes as you need.

If you have a thick box you may want to glue the frames on top first to hide any imperfections from the cut.

STEP 3: Putting It All Together.

Once you holes are created plug you gadgets charger into the power strip.

You should bundle and tie up the cables for each charger witha zip tie as well, so cords aren't tangled in the box.

String the end of each charger through a hole.

For USB powerd devices I plugged a generic powerd-USB hub into the power strip, ( Get one at any tech shop) and wired USB cables through the box.

With the box finished you can decorate it to your liking.

This is a great Instructable, but you need to add a main image of the final project to the intro step. Please do that and leave me a message when you have so that we can publish your work. Thanks!
I recognize that picture, it's from Callpod's website. They have the chargepod which is similar in idea to this, but greener & cleaner.
are you a salesman or somthin? you posted this on, like 10 other posts like this.
Nooo, I havn't logged in, in even like 8 months or somethin. It ain't me doing it.
Finished product (picture a) looks nice. However, the oval cord holes may be too large? The charging cords may have a tendency to fall inside the box when unplugged from device being charged? Make sure everything inside is well seated, you don't want unconnected cords dragged inside if the box is accidentally knocked.
