Introduction: Charger Cable Organizer

While relaxing on my bed I always found it a hassle to sit up and bend over to pick up chargers off the floor. If I was too lazy my battery continued going down until I was forced to charge my devices. I always wished I had a desk or bed-side organizer and holder for all my cables and chargers.

This Instructable will take you through my process of designing that cable and charger organizer.

Step 1: Market Research

I found these designs for cable management. However, I found that these either hardly did the job, or were too bulky for something on the side of your desk or bedside table.

Step 2: Inspiration

Quick sketch of how I planned the product out to be.

Step 3: Model

I modeled a rectangular prism because it resembles the bed-side table that I have in my room. The product is able to hang off the edge. It is also not very space consuming and is quite compact.

Step 4: Functionality

As you can see there are cutouts on the side, and also holes in the bottom of each compartment. Those allow for the wires to slide in from the slide, while the connector plug can be placed in the compartment from the top. The ends of the charger can be plugged in from the bottom.

Three are deigned for computer chargers, or other plugs, while the other two are meant for tablet or phone chargers. The compartments can also be used to store any chargers that are not plugged in.
