Intro: Cheap Sewing and Quilting Table or Desk

I made the best sewing and quilting table that I've ever used with some pretty cheap materials (total cost about $100 with the table) and best of all it stores in a closet easily and sets up fast. Please watch both videos and let me know if I can answer any questions.

I am so happy I came across this video today! I just bought my very first ever sewing machine and have my first project cut out. Now to send Hubby to the Hardware store to get supplies to make this awesome table. Thanks you for sharing this.

I think you've come up with a great idea, and I like that you point out about turning it around to have a larger space between you and the machine. Do you have a problem with the vinyl sliding around at all? I think you could also get that vinyl at fabric stores like JoAnns, they even have it in different colors and different thicknesses.

HI!! Thank you for watching my vid! No, the vinyl never slides, I don't know if it's the foam or the weight of the vinyl, but it stays put, especially because I tape the opening around the feed dogs. Yes, JoAnn's should have it too - -but different colors! I never knew! Thank you :)
