Introduction: Cheap and Easy Intercom

About: Hi! I'm Geoff! I'm an electrical engineer with a passion for making things. I believe that creating is for everyone, and I love being able to share what I've learned to enable others to pursue their passions. …

In this instructable, I will teach you how to make a cheap and easy intercom with two(or more) walkie talkies.

Step 1:

You will need two or more walkie talkies set to the same channel and some kind of case to hold it in(I used a couple of old modems).

Also you will need:
screwdriver/drill
pliers
wire strippers

Step 2:

First, take apart both the modems and the walkie talkies.
Then discard the walkie talkie cases and the modem circuit boards

Step 3:

Insert the walkie talkie circuit board into your case. I had to use a grinder to cut some pegs out so it would fit.

Step 4:

Find out where you are going to put the speaker and drill holes there so you have something to talk into.

Step 5:

You may need to drill out part of the back to reach the battery.
After that screw the case together and make sure everything is snuggly fit together.
then test and see if it works!

Step 6:

My modem was kind of getting hot so I needed to cheek some wires.
hope it worked GREAT for you guys.

(P.S. this is my first instructable, sorry if it wasn't very good)
