Introduction: Cheap and Easy Lightsaber Belt-Clip ($1)

So I just got the Darth Vader Lightsaber from the Disney Store from The Force Awakens merchandise that they have and was trying to make a holder or clip that would not get in the way and not damage the original Lightsaber. after screwing around with it i finally found a solution.

Step 1: Grab Your Supplies and Tools!

ok so i hit the dollar store and pick-up some measuring tape. All we really want is the belt-clip (i'll probably use the actual tape for another project, maybe a pop-up top-hat, i dunno...)

So Supplies

Darth Vader Lightsaber from the Disney Store (Don't forget to turn the switch to off)
Measuring tape, from the $1 store, we just need the clip

Tools:
one Philips screw driver
one Flat screw driver
some needle-nose pliers
nipping tool or sharp/strong scissors( i didn't need these, i just moved the metal back and forth with the pliers)

Step 2: Remove Battery Cover and Modify the Belt-Clip

ok so here we just remove the battery cover from the Lightsaber.
we also remove the metal belt-clip from the measuring tape and trim off the sides with pliers or nipping tools so that it can fit just under the screw that holds the battery down.
Don't forget to bend the metal clip open or else it will be up-side down.

Step 3: Reassemble the Battery Clip

Ok, that's it!
Put it back together, carefully and slowly.
Because it well be putting pressure on the battery gap, i would recommend that you bend the metal so that it kind-of follows the profile so it doesn't put too much pressure on the plastic and snap off.
I used the needle-nose pliers to shape it.
Oh! One more thing! Because i didn't want to strip the screw with the phillips screwdriver

I used a flat screwdriver to screw it back into place and lower the risk of stripping the screw.

See! it was cheap and easy and no major modifications to the Lightsaber.
