Introduction: Cheesy Bread Bites

Warm, gooey, and delicious bread bites stuffed with your favorite cheese. Great starter to a great meal.
Feedback we had from other groups- prominent cheese flavor, crispy outside, great texture, tasted amazing, warm/soft, well baked, light and crispy, savor taste, bursting flavor, mild cheese flavor, cheesy. You can eat it with many different soups! Yumm!

Step 1: Ingredients

3 cups Bread flour
4 1/2 tsp Active Dry Yeast
1 TBSP Instant minced onion
1 TBSP sugar
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp celery seed
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup water
2 TBSP Shortening
1 egg
1 cup (4 oz.) fontinella or cheddar cheese

Step 2: Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, onion, salt and celery seed: mix well. In saucepan, heat milk, water and shortening to 120-130 degrees F: add to flour mixture.

2. Add egg. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

3. Add cheese. By hand, gradually stir in remaining flour to make a stiff batter. Cover; let rise in warm place until light and doubled. Stir down batter. Spoon into greased muffin cups (or desired shape).

4. Cover; let rise in warm place until light doubled, about 30 minutes.

5.Bake at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
