Introduction: Cheesy Potato Recipe

In this Instructable you will find the recipe and instructions for making delicious cheesy potatoes that are perfect for the fall season. These are not for the lactose-intolerant sadly, but the end result will be super tasty! I hope you have fun with this recipe! Let's get started.

Supplies

-2 packages of shredded potatoes

-4 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese

-4 cups (1 quart) of half and half

-1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg

-1 teaspoon of dry mustard

-1 1/2 teaspoon of salt

-dash of pepper

-13"x9" baking pan -saucepan

Step 1: Gather the Ingredients

-2 packages of shredded potatoes

-4 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese

-4 cups (1 quart) of half and half

-1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg

-1 teaspoon of dry mustard

-1 1/2 teaspoon of salt

-dash of pepper

Step 2: Starting the Cheese Mixture

Take your medium saucepan and pour 4 cups of half and half along with 4 cups of shredded cheddar cheese to the pan. Add in the seasoning and turn the heat on. Be sure to stir the mixture constantly, and don't let it boil! When doing this step preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.

Step 3: Put the Potatoes Into the Pan

Unpackage the potatoes and put them into the pan!

Step 4: Pour the Cheese Mixture Onto the Potatoes

Pretty self-explanatory, just pour the cheese mixture over the potatoes and stir so the potatoes are evenly coated! (If you want, sprinkle pepper and/or paprika on top). After you have done this, cover the pan with aluminum foil and put it in the oven for 1 hour! Look for the top to be golden brown :)

Step 5: All Done!
