Introduction: Chicken Deterant

My Neighbors chicken were disturbing me as the cackled and destroyed my trash in search of some grubs so I decided to show them who''s the BOSS.

Step 1: Gathering the Gang

  1. Threaded rope
  2. Nails with big heads
  3. Saw
  4. Trowel
  5. Hammer
  6. Sawblade or Razor
  7. Some random wood.

I had most of these so I spent roughly half a dollar on the rope.

Step 2: Prepare the Wood

Cut the wood about 3 feet and drive the nails spacing about an inch

Step 3: Preparing the Ground

Dig about one foot into the ground with the trowel and put the sticks, then put in some rocks and fill back with soil.

Step 4: Run the Rope

Run the rope round the nail heads, making sure to secure firmly in a horizontal formation first, as many times as possible, then go zigzag.

Step 5: Optional

You may add this guy if you have him around, he wont make much difference if your structure is firmly secured .

Step 6: Angry Birds.........I Made It.

Now my trash can lie in peace, till disposal time.

n.b I decided against using chicken mesh as , this is a humid area and unless I use galvanised it wont last.
