Chinese Zodiac Clay Pendant

Introduction: Chinese Zodiac Clay Pendant

Make an easy clay pendant necklace for a fun gift.  To find the signs, just google chinese zodiac symbol.

Step 1: Gather Supplies

Small amounts of polymer clay
black acrylic paint
mod podge
small lid, we used the top from a nail polish remover bottle
metal altoids container
small paint brushes

Step 2: Polymer Clay

Take a small piece of polymer clay and condition it by massaging it in your hands.
Roll it into a ball.
Press it flat with the altoids container and use the small lid to cut it into a small disk.

Take a second piece of clay to make the bead.  Roll it into a cylinder.

Use the toothpick to put a hole in the top of the disk and through the cylinder.  This will be so that you can put it on the twine later.

Step 3: Add Your Chinese Zodiac Sign

Look up your Chinese zodiac sign online and copy it onto the polymer disk with a toothpick.

Follow the directions on the clay package to harden the clay in the oven.

Step 4: Finishing Touches

Use a small paint brush and carefully paint the grooves you made with the toothpick.  Let the paint dry for an hour and then coat the pendant and bead with Mod Podge.

When the pendant and bead are dry, string onto your twine.

Now you have an awesome pendant necklace!
