Step 1: Ingredients Needed & Cookie Dough Instructions

2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 cup of butter
     1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup of packed brown sugar
    3/4 cup of granulated sugar
    1 1/2 tsp vanilla
    2 eggs
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
various mini chocolate bars such as KitKat,  Butterfinger and  Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

Kick the tires and light the fires to 350 degrees. Which also means turn your oven on to 350 degrees F and prepare to bake!

The trick to these cookies is halving the butter so they don't spread out, so yes, it is only half a cup. The dough will not be as moist as normal chocolate chip cookie dough, but bakes up beautifully. This is how we achieve the "no lumps n' bumps" look that most hidden treat cookies have.

Cream together your butter and sugar until it’s light and fluffy. Add in the eggs and vanilla, mixing thoroughly. Beat in the flour, baking soda and salt.

When the dough is mixed, fold in the two cups of chocolate chips by hand, and prepare to put them on some parchment paper lined cookie sheets.

Step 2: How to Make Peanut Butter Cup Stuffed Cookies

Take a scoop of cookie dough, flatten it slightly to about 1/2 cm thickness and place the peanut butter cup on top.

Take another large scoop and place it on top, then mold and pinch the edges together like you would a perogie or a dumpling. The top of the cookie in your hand will be lovely and flat, thus turning into the bottom!

The reverse shape of the peanut butter cup lends to a great cookie shape, the top is wider and flatter than the bottom, so inverting it straight onto the cookie sheet makes for a perfect cookie.

Pop those babies into the 350 degree oven for 15-17 minutes, until they are golden brown and ready to come out. They will bake up nice and flat, no lumps to be seen.

Step 3: How to Make the Candy Bar Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Take the chocolate chip cookie dough and wrap it around the KitKat bar, forming a small, longer cookie. You can do the Butterfingers easily, place each mini chocolate bar on top of a brick of cookie dough. Push the bar down into the cookie dough, then either cap it or leave the bar exposed on the top. Both ways bake up amazing!

Bake all the cookies at 350 degrees until they are golden brown and let them sit until the chocolate has hardened again on the top if you left the Butterfinger cookies exposed and not covered. The chocolate will harden. Or eat it soft. Really, who can wait that long?

These cookies are only limited by your imagination, go wild and have fun!
