Introduction: Chocolate Bird's Nest
Yummy chocolate bird nests. Use them as a cake or cupcake topper filled with candy or just a cute snack for the kids.
Things needed:
Shredded Wheat cereal
Milk chocolate chips
Shredded coconut
No-Stick cooling spray
Bowl or muffin tin
Step 1: Break Apart Cereal
Break up 3 Shredded Wheat Big Biscuit cereal into a large bowl.
Step 2: Add Coconut
Add some shredded coconut. Use as much as you like or leave it out.
Step 3: Prep Bowl
Spray a bowl or muffin tins with non stick cooking spray.
Step 4: Melt Chocolate
Melt about 3/4 cup of milk chocolate chips in a microwave safe measuring cup. Microwave until the chips are just melted.
Step 5: Add Chocolate
Add the chocolate slowly into the shredded wheat. Use enough to completely cover the cereal. Mix it together with your hands. Then lick the chocolate off your hands :)
Step 6: Form Nest
Put some of the mixture in your prepared bowl or muffin tins. Use your hands to form it into a nest shape. Put them in the freezer for about 15 mins.
Step 7: Pop Them Out of Your Pan
Pop them out of your bowl or tin. You may have to give it a little bang on the table. Then fill them with candy and use them as cake or cupcake toppers. Or just eat them!

You could use these as bowls to serve a lot of different spring deserts.
