Introduction: Chocolate Covered Cherry Bread
I love chocolate covered cherries, so the more things I can use them in, the happier I am! So here is a bread that uses them inside of it, and to make it even better, its a chocolate bread!
What you need:
Cooking Spray
2 1/4 Cup all purpose flour
2 Cups sugar
3/4 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cherry extract
2 Cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 Jar Maraschino Cherries
1 package Cella's chocolate covered cherries
Step 1: Mixing
Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Beat in the milk, oil, eggs, and extracts with a mixer. Mix in the chocolate chips, and cut up cherries. Spray two 9x5 inch pans with cooking spray, and spoon in the batter. Place the chocolate covered cherries on the top of the batter.
Step 2: Cooking
Place tin foil over the top of the pan to prevent burning on the top of the bread. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Bake 40 minutes and then take off tin foil from the pan. Bake until a wooden pick comes out clean from the center of the bread about another 20 minutes (Total cooking time is about 1 hour). Remove the bread from the pans, and let cool. Serve up with a nice glass of milk! It is so rich and yummy! Enjoy!

I'm not a cook but I am definitely going to try this. I think it will be delicious (if I don't mess it up).

I'm not a cook at all! I've messed up bread in a bread machine before :) but this is very easy to make!

I loved it, my husband said it was too rich but he doesn't love chocolate as much as I do :)
