Intro: Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls

I love Reese's! Wait, let me rephrase that. Everybody loves Reese's! Say it with me! WE LOVE REESE'S! WE LOVE REESE'S! WE LOVE REESE'S! Okay, enough with the chant. This instructable shows you how to make your own Reese's with a twist, instead of the normal cupcake shape, they are shaped in tiny, bite sized Reese's!

STEP 1: Ingredients and Utensils

Here is the list of ingredients and utensils:

Ingredients:

Peanut Butter
Confectioners Sugar(Powdered Sugar)
Chocolate Chips
Water

Utensils:

Cooking Pot
Bowl
Spoons(2)
Refrigerator
Stove

Note: Your bowl should be able to sit on the pot and not fall in.

STEP 2: Melt the Chocolate

First, take your pot, and fill it about halfway with water. Then take your bowl and set it on top of the pot. Fill the bottom of the bowl with chocolate chips and then turn the heat on halfway. Stir until melted.

STEP 3: Make the Peanut Butter Balls

Now, take your peanut butter and spoon, and take a average sized glob out of it with the spoon. Scrape it off onto the counter with your fingers and sprinkle powdered sugar onto it. Roll it into a ball and keep adding powdered sugar to it until its not sticky. Make as many as you want as long as you have enough chocolate chips.

STEP 4: Coating the Peanut Butter Balls

Take your wax paper, and rip a piece of wax paper the size of the cookie sheet and place it on there. Once you are finished, take a peanut butter ball, and drop it into the melted mass of chocolate. Roll it around with a spoon until its evenly coated. Place it on the wax paper. You probably will need to add more chocolate chips depending on how many you are making.

STEP 5: Chill

Okay, once you finished coating and placing the "balls" on the cookie sheet, clear a spot in your refrigerator and put the "balls" in there. Chill them in there for about an hour or until the chocolate is cool.

STEP 6: Clean Up

Yes, this is the most hated, despised, disliked step in this instructable, but it must be done.

STEP 7: Eat!

Ya! Whoopie! Hallelujah! It's time! Eat them! Thanks for reading my instructable!

P.S: That's my little brother, not me. :P

as i have heard of "reeses peanut butter cups" before, but never tasted one and have seen many instructables on it, i have wanted to try it but yours is defiantly the best JoesPicnicTables! AWESOME
Yes, we used to make buckeyes as jwhite49 describes too. Get a bowl and mash together all of the peanut butter and powdered sugar, plus a little vanilla, then roll them into balls and dip them in chocolate. They are delicious!
we call these buckeyes in illinois, if you roll the peanut butter into balls and freeze them first, you can put a toothpick in them and dip them easier... then they come out looking like "buckeyes"... and yes, these are very addictive!
