Introduction: Christmas Card
With the stormy windy, rainy weather we have been having, I decided the
best place for me was my craft room, it is time to get started on my Christmas cards. Here is the card I came up with today.
I cut the Poinsettia from Anna's Holiday Home Decor cartridge using Cricut Design Space and my Cricut Explore. I cut the flower at 3.5".
For my card base I started with white card stock cut to 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" and scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" landscape card base. I cut a black mat at 4" X 5 1/4" and then my patterned paper at 3 7/8" X 5 1/8". I adhered all the card layers together to make my card. I then folded the flower petals on the score lines and glued them together in the center. For the flower center I used some Citrus Flower Soft and added it to the piece that was cut out for the center. It gives the flower center a bit more dimension. I added the leaves that were cut out with the flower and adhered the whole thing to my card front using a couple of glue dots.
To finish the card using the Martha Stewart Pine Branch punch I punched a bunch of the little pine branches and hot glued them all around the back of the flower. Finally I stamped the sentiment Christmas Magic using some Memento Tuxedo black ink.

This is a great looking card!
If you have any in-process photos showing the steps, those would be fantastic to include. (If you don't have any for this project, you should snap a few along the way during the next thing you make.)
Good work, hope we see more from you soon! :)
