Introduction: Christmas Rail Car 2

About: I am an author and a maker. My current project is Santa's Shop. I'm working on a science fiction type book--more later. @EngineerRigsby

This is rail car number two in a series of ten.

This 3D printed train car (plastic wheels, axle and bed) fits O gauge track and opens the door to one of a kind train sets. The hexbug (available from amazon.com) runs around inside the car while the car runs around the track.

Step 1:

Print the 3D parts, then insert the wheel/axle assemblies into the rail carrier piece.

More 3D printing information can be found at:

Step 2:

Set the bed on the posts which are part of the rail carrier.

Step 3:

Glue the end caps to the top of the posts. The carrier assembly should be able to rotate freely.

Step 4:

Add the bed ends to the car to guide the hexbug. Put it on the track and let it go!
