Build this lovely DIY Chunky Farmhouse Coffee Table


Materials List:

4 - 4x4s @8ft

2 - 2x4s @ 8ft

2 - 2x6 @ 8ft

3 - 2x10 @ 8ft

Cut List:

4 - 4x4s @ 16"

4 - 2x4s @17"

2 - 4x4s @ 19" (45 degree)

4 - 4x4s @ 8" (45 dgree)

3 - 2x6s @ 33"

3 - 2x10s @ 36"

2 - 2x10 @ 27"

Step 1: Step 1: Make Side Braces

Attach the 2x4 brace (17") to the 4x4s (16") using a Kreg Jig on a 1 1/2" setting with 2 1/2" pocket hole screws to attach along with wood glue. There should be a 2" spacing from the 2x4 brace and the floor. Repeat step fo rthe other side of the coffee table base.

Step 2: Step 2: Attach Top Brace

Attach the top 2x4 brace (17") to the 4x4s using a Kreg Jig on a 1 1/2" setting with 1 1/2 " pocket hole screws to attach along with wood glue. The top 2x4 should be flush with the 4x4s. Repeat step for the other side

Step 3: Step 3: Attach X Brace

    Thank you for this post. I just completed mine using a reclaimed section of bowling lane floor for the top. Thanks to this Instructable, I'm really happy with how it came out.

    Use 220-grit sand paper to sand the edges as desired!
