Things You’ll Need

  • Skirt Steak
  • Cilantro
  • Limes
  • Soy Sauce
  • Garlic
  • Spices (Salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder)

Step 1: Let It Marinate

Tip #1 Only need a couple of hours to marinate a skirt steak

Begin by adding chopped cilantro, squeeze of lime, soy sauce, chopped garlic, and spices to a large ziploc bag. Now add in the steak. Amounts of all of these ingredients depend on the amount of steak you are using. Just make sure the ingredients are coating the steak and that soy sauce is the prominent ingredient. Refrigerate and marinate for at least a couple of hours.

Step 2: TIme to Grill

Tip #2 Get the grill super hot before adding steak

Preheat the grill on high heat, before adding the steak lower flame to medium high and place steak onto grill. Grilled on each side until you get it to a nice medium-rare. If you like it medium well or well done close the grill cover over and allow the steak to grill for longer.

Step 3: Serving and Suggestions

Remove the steak from the grill and allow it to rest for about 2-5 minutes. Resting meat allows flavor to lock in. Slice the steak and serve over a bed of Mexican rice with a side of greens.

Suggestions:

  • Great for serving large groups of people!
  • Serve with a nice summer cocktail; mojitos, margaritas!
  • Pair with a light vinaigrette dressing on the greens.
