Introduction: Cleaning Your Table Saw Blades
If you have been using your table saw or your miter saw and noticed the wood is starting to burn, or you need to push harder, you might not need to replace your blade but clean them!
This is a VERY simple process that takes minimal time and supplies. Other people will use and recommend oven cleaner because its cheap, however, I do not want to risk damaging the carbide teeth or the soldier joint on my blades so I use Boshields Blade & Bit cleaner and a firm nylon bristle brush.

Step 1: Preparing Your Dirty Blade to Be Cleaned
Place the blade on some cardboard, or a small plastic tray. Once you start cleaning the blade, it will tend to get a little messy and this will make cleanup a breeze.
Step 2: Fully Saturate the Blade
You want to now apply the cleaning solution onto the blade to get complete coverage. You should apply it to the front and back of the blade, as well as between the teeth down in the gullets where the blade cuts.
After completely covering the blade, let it sit and soak for about 2 minutes.
Step 3: Scrubbing the Carbide Teeth

After the blade has had time to soak, wet a firm bristled nylon brush with the cleaning solution and begin to scrub the entire blade. You want to pay close attention to make sure and brush the sides of the carbide teeth as well as the gullets and groove of where the teeth cut.
Step 4: Final Soak
After you have brushed the blade thoroughly, apply more of the cleaner to wetten the blade once more. Wait another 2 minutes for it to soak again.
Step 5: Rinse & Dry
Now that it has has its final soak, wash off the blade with a wet rag, or rinse with a hose. Make sure to then dry the blade completely with clean paper towels and you can now reinstall your blade!
Your blade should now cut a lot better and easier!
