Clover Patch Card

Can you find the 4-leaf clover?

I tried to hide it, but you'll probably find it pretty quick :)

Just a fun and simple card for St. Patrick's Day!

Step 1: Supplies

Alright, here is what you will need.

Supplies:

• Green Paper
• White Paper
• Greeting Card (5.5 by 4 inches)
• Silhouette Cameo - You could print this off and cut out the clovers, but it will take a loooong time.
• Glue (I used spray glue)
• Something to stick your design to your actual card, I used my sticky squares
• File - attached here

Step 2: Making the File

Okay, time to make your clover patch.  You start out with a 3-leaf (and 4-leaf) clover.

Create a rectangle that is 5.5 by 4 inches.  The card can go either way (profile or landscape).

What I did was create the clover and then copy it in different sizes and flipped it and then took that collection of clovers and copy and pasted them over and over and rotated the selection of clovers each time I pated them so they would look different.  (Photos 2-5)

Just keep pasting the clovers and placing them around the card.

When you are done, you are ready to put in the 4-leaf clover.  I chose a spot I liked and removed a 3-leafed one and just replaced it with the 4-leaf clover.

That's it.

Step 3: Assembly

Time to cut it out!

Use the white for the clvoers and you can cut out a 5.5 by 4 inch rectangle from the green (by hand or with the silhouette cameo).

I used the setting for Patterned Paper, but I slowed the speed down. I would suggest even changing it all the way down to 1. It takes quite a while to cut out, but if you do it too fast, all the little bits get caught and torn as it cuts. My first one, on the left, was too torn so I recut it. Even when I recut it at, I think, speed 2 a couple clovers caught, but it wasn't too bad.

Glue up the white piece when you are ready and stick it to your green piece. Since it was so fragile, I just used spray glue.

Stick it to the green piece of paper and then stick that to the card and that is it!

Step 4: Enjoy Your Card

Finding the 4 leaf clover was easy. What I couldn't find was what program opens

you have to look for the "tighter angles", since you rarely see the whole clover.

I once had a wife that could walk through a patch of clover and instantly find four or more leafed clovers.

The key was to just look for something different.

Don't look for a four leaf clover just relax and observe.

Now I use the same technique when looking for beach glass.

It's funny how if you know where to look, your eyes go there right away...just finding it that first time that's hard. You card is wonderful! :)
