Introduction: Coinhole

Coinhole is a game that up to four people can play. The point of the game is to throw a coin into hole. Based off the bigger version which is Cornhole. We wanted to make it harder and more portable as well. We have two coinhole "boards" and coins. We used CNC to create the "boards" and Fusion 360 to make the coins.

Supplies

  • Plywood for CNC
  • Tough, PLA, and PVA for 3D printing
  • Resin Glue
  • Maker Bot Method
  • Shark HD510 (CNC Machine)
  • Packaging Box
  • Paper (For Instructions)

Step 1: Coin

Head into your Fusion 360 and open up a new template. You will want to make a circle about 0.9 in diameter.. After that you want to extrude it 0.07 inches. Once done you can add your own design to it making it unique. Make multiple coins with different designs if you would like, but you can just use a quarter. The dimensions are the exact same as a quarter.

Step 2: Hole

We made a prototype in Autodesk Fusion 360. We have the base 4.75 by 2.75. After that we extruded it by .5. After that we made a hole that was 1.25 in diameter. Made it 3.25 from the bottom and 1.375 from the side. After that we tilt it up at a 45 degree angle. Then we make the legs. Both of them are .6 by .7. Then extruded it down by .75. Then we just changed the display settings. Perspective Camera, River Rubicon Environment and every effects turned on. We CNC'ed it out then cut the hole. and glued the pegs on. We used Plywood because it's sturdy and durable.

Step 3: Play

One you have finished it all you have to do is setup two of them facing each other. They have to be about a foot and a half away. The goal is to bounce the coin into the hole. We recommend you play on a marble surface to have the best bounce for the game. You are not allowed to throw it straight into the hole, you have to bounce it on the table. If it goes in the hole it will be 3 points and if it lands just on the board then it is worth one point. Each side would get four attempts to make it into the hole. The team or person with the most points will win! This is Coinhole!
