Introduction: Computer Build by Jacob

PC Building 101 with Jacob Sanchez.

Supplies

CPU: Intel Core i3-8100 includes stock fan

Power Supply: EVGA 500 BA 80+ BRONZE 500W

Motherboard: B365M-HDV (LGA 1151)

SSD: Samsung 860 EVO M.2 SSD (250GB)

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series DDR4 2400 (8 GB)

Case: MASTERBOX MB511

Step 1: Open Up the Case

The first thing to do is to unscrew the the lid/case so we can later inset the motherboard and power supply.

Step 2: Get Your Stuff

After removing everything out out of their box. You should have everything you need to build your PC.

Step 3: Where Does the RAM Go?

The first thing I did was to insert the RAM on the motherboard in the first slot. Make sure you insert it the right way. Every RAM has a little space so you can just know how you can insert the RAM.

Step 4: Where Does the M.2 SSD Card Go?

The M.2 SSD card goes near the Southbridge. When you insert it, you screw it down on the other end so it can stay flat.

Step 5: How to Put the CPU Correctly

There's like a triangle shape on one of the corners on the motherboard and the CPU. You match them up so can put the CPU on the motherboard correctly. When you put the CPU in, you then close it up so it can stay in one place.

Step 6: The CPU Fan

Next, you'll put the CPU Fan. As it say in the name, the purpose of this fan is to keep the CPU cooled and goes on top of the CPU.

Step 7: The End Results of the Motherboard

This should how the motherboard should look like.

Step 8: Test Out the Motherboard and Power Supply

Once you put everything needed on the motherboard, you then need to see if everything is working. We connected the 24 pin and the 8 pin of the power supply on to the motherboard. We used the monitor to see if it turns on and it did.

Step 9: Where Does the Power Supply Goes on the Case

Once we finished testing the motherboard and power supply, we then disconnected the power supply from the motherboard so we could put the power supply on the case. We then screw the power supply on the back of the PC.

Step 10: Where to Put the Power Supply Cables

As you can see from the images. I put both cables (24 pin and 8 pin) through different open spots. I placed these cables there so it could be easier to connect the cables to the motherboard and not get tangled or look like a mess.

Step 11: Putting the Motherboard

The next step is placing the motherboard in the PC. After placing the motherboard, we then screw it down. The motherboard has 6 screw holes.

Step 12: Connecting the Power Supply With the Motherboard

After screwing down the motherboard, we then connect the power supply (24 pin and 8 pin) cables to the motherboard. You can now see why I placed the cables separated in different location. It looks so good.

Step 13: Connecting to the Fans

The next step would be connecting the fans and the rest of the cables to the motherboard. After this we then test the PC one last time before putting the cases back on the PC.

Step 14: Putting the Case Back

The final step is screwing the case back on the PC. After screwing both side cases, we finally have a finished PC.
