Introduction: Computer Build:by Ian

First of all you want to start with your build outside of the case just to make sure all your parts work.

The first part you should put in the motherboard is the CPU, you need to unhook the lock that keeps the CPU in place, after that place the CPU into the socket with the triangle on the CPU lining up with the triangle on the socket for the CPU ( you should not need to push on the CPU at all, it should just fall into place). Next you put the lock back on top of the CPU and push down the hook to lock it.

Step 1: RAM

Putting the ram in is probably the simplest part of the build, all you need to do is find the ram socket (it depends on the motherboard) then make sure your RAM is facing the right way. There is a little bar in the middle of the RAM socket make sure the little hole in the RAM stick lines up with that bar. Once its lined up all you need to do is push and it should clip in.

Step 2: CPU Fan

In order to put the CPU fan on you need to have thermal paste on the CPU, Most CPU fans come with thermal paste pre-applied but in the evet that it isn't and you have a tube of thermal paste put a pea sized dot of thermal paste on the CPU then press the fan on. after you put the fan on you need to lock it in, again every fan is different but with this one specifically there are 4 buttons on the side that you can rotate to lock and unlock them, Rotate the buttons unlock them then push them down you should hear a click when they are all the way in. Lastly you need the plug in the fan, there should be a 4 pin connector coming out from the fan then plug that in to the prongs on the mother board labeled CPU_FAN.

Step 3: Power

To test that all the components on you mother board work you need to power it. Take you power supply and find the largest connector (that being 22 or 24 pins). and plug that into the mother board.

Step 4: Case

in order to screw your mother board into you case you need to screw in stand-off screws into your case you'll need a special tool (seen in the image) that you can put on your screwdriver, make sure your mother board can fit completely on the stand-off screws. Then screw the motherboard the the stand-off screws.

Step 5: Power Supply

the last step is to screw in your power supply in the back of you computer then plug all of your peripherals in then your computer build is done.
