Introduction: Constellation Night Light
Have fun making this simple constellation night light.
Supplies
YOU WILL NEED :
A sheet of cardboard
Hot glue gun
Pen
Ruler
Box cutter
Skewer stick for poking holes
9v battery
On / off switch
9v battery snap connector
LED strip / containing 8 LEDs
Step 1: Cutting the Card Board
Cut 2x 34cm x 19cm pieces of cardboard

Step 2: Drawing the Constellation
Take one of the 34cm x 19cm piece of cardboard
Then take the ruler and mark the centre 5 cm up from the bottom.
Now draw a line from 4cm to 15cm. (This will be the first line of the constellation)
Now draw a line 11cm up from the right corner of the line make sure to draw the line at an angle as shown.
Then do the same to the left corner make sure to leave 5cm space in between the two lines at the top.
Now draw a line to connect the to lines at the top as shown.
Then draw a line 11cm up from the right corner of the top line make sure to draw this at a angle as shown.
Then do the same to the right corner.
Then draw an angled line 4cm up from the right side of the line as shown.
Then connect the left side to the top of the angled line
As shown above.
Then take the ruler and mark the centre 5 cm up from the bottom.
Now draw a line from 4cm to 15cm. (This will be the first line of the constellation)
Now draw a line 11cm up from the right corner of the line make sure to draw the line at an angle as shown.

Now draw a line to connect the to lines at the top as shown.
Then draw a line 11cm up from the right corner of the top line make sure to draw this at a angle as shown.
Then do the same to the right corner.
Then draw an angled line 4cm up from the right side of the line as shown.
Then connect the left side to the top of the angled line

Step 3: Poking the Holes
Take a skewer stick and poke holes in all the correct places as shown.
Step 4: Attaching the Sides Pieces
Cut 2× 34cm x 3cm pieces of cardboard and glue them to the sides as shown in pictures.
Now cut a 2× 19cm x 3cm pieces of cardboard and glue them to the top and bottom .

Step 5: Attaching the LEDs
Take the LED strip and start pushing them through the holes in the correct places as shown.
Add a dab of hot glue to keep the LEDs in place

Step 6: Making the Circuit
Trace the switch on the cardboard and then cut it out.
Now push the switch through the cardboard.
Then attach the left wire of the LED strip to the switch as shown.
Now attach the right wire to the red wire of the snap connector then attach the black wire on the snap connector to the switch as shown.
Now glue the 9V battery in the correct place as shown.
Now push the switch through the cardboard.
Then attach the left wire of the LED strip to the switch as shown.
Now attach the right wire to the red wire of the snap connector then attach the black wire on the snap connector to the switch as shown.
Now glue the 9V battery in the correct place as shown.
Step 7: Finishing Off
Attach the snap connector to the 9v battery as shown.
Take the second 34cm x 19cm piece of cardboard and glue it in the correct place as shown.
Turn the night light around
And there you have it your own constellation night light.
