Convert Home Ordinary Clock Into Self Glowing Clock

In this instructables,I want to share with you guys how to convert your home ordinary clock in to self glowing clock.
>> For doing this I use RADIUM,
>> basically first RADIUM WATCHES came in 1900s, and it is an old idea but doing this in a home is an new one....

BEFORE GOING TO DO LET'S KNOW SOME CHEMISTRY ABOUT SELF GLOWING ELEMENTS... LET'S START !!!!

To take images of self glowing elements on phone change mobile Camara settings in to NIGHT MODE or use NIGHT CAMARA APP ..

Step 1: WHAT IS SELF GLOWING ELEMENTS ?

Simply self glowing elements store energy in light and expose that energy in dark due to PHOSPHORE on it...

Glow in dark also known as "LUMINESCENE "

EXAMPLES;actinium, plutonium, radium, radon, tritium, and some bioluminescenes

Step 2: WHY I SELECT RADIUM ?!

>> RADIUM is an radioactive element that emits pale blue colour as it declays....
>> And also it emits green colour with PHOSPHORE in dark....
>> RADIUM is in the name of RA with atomic number 88 in a sixth element in group 2 of the periodic table..
>> RADIUM is a highly radioactive element and can be extremely dangerous one..
So that please don't try to make it home

Step 3: WHERE TO FIND OUT THESE ELEMENTS ??

$$ Glow in the dark elements are all around us, whether as a star on a ceiling of our child's bedroom,,
$$ wrist bands,
$$ common in toys.

DUE TO EXTREMELY DANGEROUS I DON'T MAKE IT AT HOME TO FURTHER I USE RADIUM WALL DECORATIVE STICKERS TO MAKE GLOW THE CLOCK..

Before attempting to do this idea, I tried 3 different types of RADIUM flavoured elements that RADIUM tape,RADIUM paint ( online stores) and RADIUM wrist band (local store), that were not to match with thinked final result, so that I decided to do with RADIUM wall decorative stickers...

Step 4: TOOLS REQUIRED

No special tools needed to do this instructable... Tools available in your home enough to do this instructable..
+ RADIUM wall decorative stickers
+ Sharp knife or scissors
+ Pencil
+ Scale
+ Screw driver ( to unlock screws on clock back banel )
+ Glu

Step 5: CUT RADIUM STICKER STRIPS TO HOUR AND MINUTE INDICATION

>> This had no dimension to mark on RADIUM strips, so that you will mark along on your clock dial shape and numbers style shape.
>> Cut that marking by any sharp medium or using with scissors.
>> Like this cut all need on clock dials, minute indicators, hour indicators and number styles of fonds.

Step 6: GLUING EVERYTHING ON CLOCK

>> first remove the batteries of clock and unscrew on all the screws back panel. >> Glu the all components cuted from RADIUM strips on clock and stick all according to your clock design.
>> Then close the back panel of the clock and screw them.

Step 7: FINAL RESULT

Thus we will get an glowing clock finally.
I kept this wall clock in my living room in my home.
IT WAS LOOKING COOL ONE AND I LIKE IT VERY MUCH....

Step 8: BENEFITS ON USING RADIUM

>> no need to batteries, power source or external power mediums...
>> RADIUM is a self glowing element so that we can get self glowing indication from clock even at dark...

KIDS NEAR TO MY HOME MORE LIKE THIS CLOCK AND FREQUENTLY CAME AFTER SUNSET TO SEE TIME AND BOTHERING ME TO DO LIKE THIS CLOCK TO THEM.
