Introduction: Converting an Image Into an .SVG File

I will be talking about how to turn images into an .SVG file, which in turn can be imported into Tinkercad for 3D modeling.

Supplies

Computer and Internet.

Step 1: Search for a Black and White Image

I Googled for 'savage, black and white, cartoon' and found a picture of a savage man.

Step 2: Save That Image Into Your Computer

Then I saved that image into my computer.

Step 3: Upload It to an Online Page

Then I uploaded that image into this website: Free SVG Converter (picsvg.com).

(There are probably other website that you could use. If you are familiar with image editing software such as Photoshop you could use it. I also use Adobe Illustrator for this (image trace/silhouette).)

Then the website shows you what that .SVG file would like like; you can adjust its edges to get the image to the desired looks.

Step 4: Download an .sVG File

Then I downloaded that .SVG file. You can see the end result here.

So now you are ready to import this .SVG file into Tinkercad to work more on it in 3D design mode, but that would be another Instructables Project. I did attach the .SVG file of the savage man here.
