About 1/2-inch cookie dough place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

Well I guess I did something wrong? I am thinking I used to much butter. Cookies don't look anything like you buy in a store. I will try again sometime soon.

I have my mum's recipe for Anzac biscuits, it is absolutely fool proof for her! Whenever I make them though, they turn into a giant, burnt pancake on my baking tray.
I have no idea what I do differently, we have even made them together but mine always fail.
I have since learnt that if I roll them into balls, don't flatten them and put them in the fridge before baking, they work!
Perhaps this trick might work for you too, but looks aside, I'm sure they taste great :)

They may not be store-bought pretty, but I'll bet they're still yummy.
