Introduction: Cooking for Bachelors Volume One: Chicken G-BOT
This is a recipe I created accidentally out of what I had in the cupboard and fridge when I was single. Like almost everything I cook, there are just a few ingredients, they are simple to prepare, and tastes great. Chicken G-Bot stands for Chicken Garlic, Basil, Oregano Tomato. Unfortunately no robots are currently used in preparation.
Step 1: Gather Ingredients
For this recipe I use:
2 Chicken Breasts (fresh or frozen)
2 Cans Del Monte Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic, Oregano
2 Cans of Cream of Chicken Soup (Or 1 Family-Sized Can)
1/2 Bag of Dried Pasta
Large Pan/Skillet
2 Chicken Breasts (fresh or frozen)
2 Cans Del Monte Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic, Oregano
2 Cans of Cream of Chicken Soup (Or 1 Family-Sized Can)
1/2 Bag of Dried Pasta
Large Pan/Skillet
Step 2: Combine Ingredients (except Pasta)
Now combine the raw chicken (frozen in my case), tomatoes and cream of chicken soup. Don't worry about stirring the ingredients together, just combine over high heat. Also, do not add water to the cream of chicken soup.
Step 3: Stir. Then Cut Chicken
After about 10 minutes on medium-high heat, turn the heat down stir the ingredients (the tomatoes have a tendency to burn to the pan if not stirred occasionally). Pull out the chicken and dice into 3/4" cubes.
Step 4: Stir in Chicken, Simmer and Add Pasta
Now, with the diced chicken added back in and stove on low-medium heat, stir in your dried pasta. Put the cover back on and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Step 5: Serve
With a total of about 30 minutes of cook/prep time, dinner is served. The cream of chicken soup and tomatoes have combined into a mixture that is aromatic and delicious. If your girlfriend or wife isn't home, throw away the cans in the outside trash and convince them you made it from scratch.
It has become one of my wife's favorites.
