Introduction: Cottonwood Whimsy House
I made this whimsy house from the bark of a dead cottonwood tree in my back yard when I was seventeen. I used a Flexcut detail knife to do most of the carving, other details were made with gouges of various kinds. The charring was done with a soldering gun and the nail holes were made with a sewing needle. It was then finished with a spray-on lacquer.
