Introduction: Crabber's Eye Knot

I found this knot in an old "Handbook of knots for seamen". It is another slide and lock loop knot.

Males a nice lanyard or zipper pull.

Step 1:

Bring working end (WE) over to the right forming a loop.

Step 2:

Bring WE to the left going under (forming a small bight).

Step 3:

Bring WE end up.

Step 4:

and to the right going under.

Step 5:

Bring WE down through the bight formed in step 2.

Step 6:

Adjust loop size by pulling on A or a.

Step 7:

Pull on B and b to lock loop in place. Tighten.
