Intro: Crafting Leather Coin Wallet | DIY Leatherworking Tutorial

A simple wallet for coins. I use vegetable tanned leather, but you can use any leather you like. You can see a brief description of how to create a wallet here, or you can watch a video that shows how to make a wallet in more detail.

STEP 1:

Step 1:

We trace the stencil of your wallet on the leather.

STEP 2:

Step 2:

We cut out a blank for a wallet from leather.

STEP 3:

Step 3:

Remove the edge of the leather. I use a tool for this - Edge Beveler.

STEP 4:

Step 4:

We make holes for the buttons using a punch.

STEP 5:

Step 5:

I paint my leather with a special paint for leather. But you can use already dyed leather.

STEP 6:

Step 6:

I use a special finish for leather - Super Sheen.

STEP 7:

Step 7:

I polish the edges of the leather with a special tool - Wood Slicker

STEP 8:

Step 8:

I install the buttons using a press.

I was think of creating something like this in heavy fabric for an embroidery needle holder. Hank you for the template. I wish you had done a video showing how you open it so I could see if this design would work. :)

Hey, try to make a video one of these days :)

It would be useful if you shared the pattern, or at least de dimensions :)
Thank for the tuto!
