Introduction: Cream Pie Drink Cover

Are you tired of being outside and bugs keep getting in your drink? Well, I have a great solution. This drink cover fits over your drink and will make sure no bugs get in! There is a file in case you need it! This is based on my favorite pie. I love cream pie and every time I think of pie because I love it that much.

Supplies

Tinkercad (make sure the measurements are inches)

3D Printer (I used the Ender 3) and filament

Cura (or any other slicer software)

A cup

A ruler

Step 1: Measure Your Cup

First, you need to measure your cup. Mine is 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Yours will be different.

Step 2: Make the Pie Crust

First, you will need a cone. Then, place it on the Workplane. You can find it on the side of the screen!

Step 3: Get the Crust Shape

First, get a box and turn it into a hole by clicking it, and in the corner, there should be an option called hole. Then move it into the cone. Finally, raise it up about 3 mm (0.11811 inches) and group it. Then flip it over to get the crust the right way up. If you want, you can make the crust taller for a bigger crust, but you will need to alter the steps a bit.

Step 4: Making It the Right Size for Your Cup

After you figure out how big the top of your cup is make the crust that size (mine is 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches). Make it about 1/4 of an inch bigger for the next step.

Step 5: Make the Hole

After finding the size, you need to copy and paste for there to be two crusts. Then flip both of them over 180 degrees. Then, make one of the crusts the original size of the cup's top part. Next, make the smaller one a hole and put it in the center of the other crust. Finally, make the hole 1/4 inches tall, then group.

Step 6: Make the Cream

First, flip your pie crust 180 degrees and make a cylinder the size of your cup's top (mine is 1 1/2 by 1 1/2). Then put it in the middle of the crust. Then raise it 1/8 of an inch and make the height 0.1 inches then group the cylinder and the crust. Then get two torus's, make one the size of the top of your cup and the other one inch smaller. Then use the align tool so that the smaller one is in the middle of the bigger one. Then raise the smaller one 1/8 of an inch up then group them both. Then get a paraboloid and put it in the middle of the torus's and make it 5/8 of an inch tall then group all of the torus's and the paraboloid.

Step 7: Final Step in Tinkercad!

Get the the crust and raise it as much as you want because it will be too small and then after you raise it as much as you want. Raise the cream as much as you need and then group both of them together when you have the cream in the center of the crust. Also, if you want to recolor it!

Step 8: Set Up for the 3D Print

Download the file as an stl file. Then put it in the slicer you use ( I use Cura ). If you don't know how to use a slicer, I recommend looking it up. Then download the gcode file and put it into your printer.

Step 9: The Print

Now just let it print on your printer. Enjoy the time-lapse!
