Introduction: Creamy Condensed Milk (No-Cook Honey and Basic Version)
You want to make a dessert with condensed milk... and oops out of stock!... No worries you have a super easy and a No cook version of Condensed milk which takes just 5 minutes... Taste equally good as the store bought ones too.. I have used this recipe to prepare condensed milk based cakes and has worked well...
This instructable shows how to prepare homemade condensed milk both the Basic and the Honeyed Version. This is a no-cook version and hence the health factor of Honey stays intact.
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Makes 3/4 Cup
Basic Version :
Ingredients:
Milk Powder (Powdered Milk) - 1/2 Cup (Use the best brand Available)
Powdered Sugar - 1/4 Cup
Water - 1/4 cup
Butter - 1.5 Tsp
Honey Version :
Ingredients:
Milk Powder (Powdered Milk) - 1/2 Cup (Use the best brand Available)
Powdered Sugar - 3 Tbsp
Water - 3.5 Tbsp
Honey - 1 Tsp
Butter - 1.5 Tsp
Tool Required:
Mixer/Blender
Step 2: First Step
Powder the Sugar. Then Add Butter and Milk Powder in Mixer or a Blender.
Step 3: Blend It...!
Add water into the Blender with other ingredients.
If trying the honey version add the honey also at this stage . I tried adding water without warming to make the recipe quick and fast. It works really well. Blend it till creamy texture... Now that is super simple....
Step 4: Condensed Milk Is Ready
Condensed Milk is ready... Now you can use this for any No-Cook dessert. It works well with cakes, pudding and even paints ( A new information I got from the comments I received :) ).

Could you be using actual milk instead of powdered?

The powdered milk actually gives the condensed milk taste.. You can surely replace powdered milk and water with milk.
