Step 1: Materials Needed

2 Pipe Cleaners (contrasting colors look best)

Scissors (for kids use child friendly scissors)

What if I do not know what a contrasting color is?
Contrasting colors are colors that are opposite from each other on the color wheel. This link,

Step 2: Selecting and Naming Pipe Cleaners

Pick 2 pipe cleaners in different colors.
Designate one to be pipe cleaner A and the other to be pipe cleaner B.

Step 3: Bend Pipe Cleaner

Bend pipe cleaner A into a circle.
This should make a small X at the top.

Step 4: Wrap Pipe Cleaner to Make a Circle

Wrap the excess ends (the part that makes the X) to the left and right and wrap them around the circle.
You should now have a perfectly round circle.
Set the circle aside.

Step 5: Bend Pipe Cleaner in Half

Bend pipe cleaner B in half vertically.

Step 6: Arrange the Pipe Cleaners Together

Open pipe cleaner B slightly so that it looks like a V.
Put pipe cleaner B on top of pipe cleaner A in the middle.
At this point pipe cleaner B should be straddling pipe cleaner A in the center.

Step 7: Pull Pipe Cleaner Through

Pull one side of pipe cleaner B through the circle so that both ends are on the same side of the circle.

Step 8: Twist Pipe Cleaner

Twist pipe cleaner B around itself towards the middle of the circle until half of pipe cleaner B is twisted.

Step 9: Extend the Ends

Stop twisting the pipe cleaner B when you are at the middle of the circle.
Extend the ends of pipe cleaner B towards point C (the edges of the circle) diagonally.

Step 10: Cut the Ends

Cut the excess of one side of pipe cleaner B leaving only a little life (about an inch).
Repeat on the other side.

Step 11: Wrap the Ends

Fold one of the leftover 1 inch sections of pipe cleaner B around pipe cleaner A.
Once folded, wrap pipe cleaner B around itself inside of the circle.
Repeat on the other side.

Step 12: You're Done!

You now have a complete peace sign to decorate with or give away as a gift!
