Introduction: Creation of a Glasses Bridge Binder to Connect Broken Glasses Together. #fyp #fy #interact #creative

When i started this project i had thought of making something thats not only easy to create, but also helpful to others. After thinking for a while, i decided that id be best to create something that can repair broken glasses.

Supplies

The main things that I used was:

  • Tinker Tad
  • 3D printer
  • Glasses
  • Measuring tape/Ruler

Step 1: Mesurements.

First thing you want to do is grab your glasses and the ruler. Align your ruler on the centimeter side. Taking your glasses you'd measure each side. (You could do this or you can only mesure the bridge of your glasses.) When measuring take the Length width and hight into accountability. Write that down and save.

For this i will be using basic glasses measurements. (Image)

Step 2: Creation of the Glasses. (P1)

Using the scribble tool (Image 1) , you would create a D frame for the glasses eye (image 2).

  • Turn the frame 90 degrees making it sit straight. (Image 3)
  • As said, the hight is 37 millimeters, and its width 52. (Image 4)

Step 3: Creation of the Glasses. (P2)

Using the scribble tool again, you'd create a Temple like shape. (Image 1).

  • Rotate it 90 degrees again. (Image 2)
  • Resize, but this time 140 millimeters length wise. (Image 3)
  • Adjust it to reach (somewhat) the top of the frame (Image 4)
  • Duplicate the two pices and put em side by side. (Image 5) (Make sure to flip it using the width peice)

Step 4: Creation of the Glasses (P3)

Now with your other pieces you create the bridge. Use the scribble tool again, and create the bridge like shape. (Image 1)

Do your mesurements and adjustments. It should end up something like this,

Step 5: The Bridge Part

Lastly you're going to use the "SVG revolver" for the bridges part. Adjust it until it looks something like image 2 and 3, and fits the bridge perfectly.

Then you get the finished product. (Image 4)
