Introduction: Croc Keys
Reuse an elderly keyboard and revitalize your Crocs with just a few simple steps!
Crocs: The subject of much pointless quibbling.
I really don't think it matters one way or the other -- I wear them as slippers in the privacy of my own home, so I really couldn't care less about how they look.
However, some love to adorn their plastic shoes with colorful charms.
Isn't it about time to lend your Crocs a bit of class? A touch of geek cred? A shred of computer-based razzmatazz?
The answer is YES.
Step 1: Materials
You'll need:
--A Computer Keyboard
--A Hot Glue Gun
You could use any kind of glue, really.
--Flat-Headed Thumbtacks
Their heads must be wider than the Croc's holes.
--A Pair of Crocs
Without them, it's pretty useless to make Croc Keys.
Step 2: Disassemble
Unscrew, pry, crack open that case!
Discard the innards-- unless you want to make a cool-looking wallet from them, or something...
All we'll need are the keys. It's easier to push them out from behind.
Warm up your Glue Gun.
Step 3: Obtain the Keys
Whichever ones you choose.
I chose F4 and the Windows key...
You might want to choose Ctrl-Alt-Delete or Alt-F4, or whatever key combination suits you.
Step 4: Glue
Fill the square cavity in the center of the Key with glue.
Stick the tack in as far as it can go, and let it cool (or dry).
Step 5: Enjoy!
Walk around with renewed confidence in your ability to be geeky.
Watch people's eyes grow in awe when they spot your sandals.
As a side note, it is possible to use this technique on pretty much any small object... Legos come readily to mind.
Enjoy!

UPDATE:
Craziest Gadgets doesn't like it.
"Crocs are ugly enough, I’m not sure why you’d want to further uglify them by adding on discarded... keyboard keys to make Croc Keys."
Neither does Urlesque, saying
"A crafting project that perhaps should have never come into existence: The Keyboard Crock."
To quote Abraham Lincoln:
"People who like this sort of thing will find this the sort of thing they like."
I guess they weren't people who liked that sort of thing. Oh, well...

Everything from update to the one other comment made me LOL hard! Creative but the crocs loose their microwaveability for in the winter time to keep the feet warm.
