About: "Who are you? Make art. It will help you find the answer." -Unknown

Have you ever looked online at cool crochet gloves or a scarf, and wished you knew how to crochet that stitch? If you said no ,why did you click on this? If you said yes, then Its your lucky day! anyway, I am going to show you how to make them, so in order to do that you need a few supplies...

Supplies:

Yarn: 100% polyester,Light 3 teal,white fade (I got LionBrand)

Yarn Needle

Scissors

crochet hook:US 3.5mm

And a little bit of imagination......

Why use polyester?

Why I always use polyester or cotton yarn when doing my crochet and or knit projects is because, for one, its cheaper, for two, which is my main reason is that its better for the environment and the animals that the wool is taken from and made into yarn. For example, sheep when sheared in the winter sometimes freeze when there wool is taken, and when in summer their wool isn't taken, they overheat and don't make it to the next winter.

Step 1: The Beginning

Whenever measuring your hand and making sure its precise to make it fit you need to measure around the top of your hand before you get to your fingers, you might want to make it 5 stitches so you have room to move your fingers around when wearing the gloves.after you get the measurement you want to crochet a chain until it reaches that length exactly. I chained 41 and that was very spacious for me to move my fingers around.

Step 2: Your First Scale

Now, this part can be a little frustrating to be honest, but i'll tell you the easy way...

1.After you have done your chain...

2.Go into your 6th chain hole from your hook and Double Crochet in that stitch...

3.Double Crochet into the same stitch as the other...

4.chain 2...

5.Double Crochet in 2nd stitch from last Double crochet...

6.chain 2...

7.2 Double Crochet in 2nd chain from the last Double Crochet...

8.chain 2...

9.1 Double crochet in 2nd chain from last Double Crochet...

Repeat steps 7-9 to the end of the row

Step 3: Your First Scale, Step 2

After you have completed your very first row on your glove, you are going to chain 1 and turn your work, as you always would on a new row...

1.your going to 5 Double Crochet in a Back Post Double Crochet of the 1st Double Crochet of the last row...

2.Then 5 Double crochet again in the Back Post Double Crochet again in your last Double Crochet...

3.(you have now made your first scale as you can see in the pictures) Slip Stitch in the Spot with the 1 Double crochet and move on to the next grouping of the 2 Double Crochet

repeat steps 1-3 to the end

Step 4: The Repeat

Your going to chain 3 and turn and for this row,and the next row are going to be repeating steps 2-3 and just crocheting it inside the previous row. the back becomes to look like a crochet little spine to the back...

Your going to repeat steps 2-3 eight times

Step 5: The Last Scales and a New Piece

You have now completed your whole row of scales for the first glove.

The glove hand part itself is a whole separate piece...

But its a lot easier to do then the scales...

Here's the simple quick crochet pattern for the glove piece

1. Chain the same amount as the scales

2.connect the two sides

3.Double Crochet 2 rows

4.chain 9 connect at 9th stitch from last Double Crochet...Double Crochet the rest of the row

5.Double Crochet 6 (or more) rows

Your finished!

cut your yarn and sew in ends...

Step 6: Sewing Up

You've now completed both pieces for the first glove and you will now sew them together to be one glove.

grab your yarn and push it through the eye of the needle...

sew on the inside of the glove to not show any excess stitches...

sew around the whole glove and secure tightly...

you now have your own crocodile/dragon scale glove!

Now all that's left is to make the other one.......

Step 7: The Other Glove

the other glove is exactly the same as the other glove pattern, there is literately no difference in the pattern

Hope you enjoyed!
