Introduction: Crown Princess of Avalor πŸ‘‘

About: I like to create fantastic jewelry !!!

Here is a new instructable based on what my daughter is a fan of. I wanted to please her and make her dream with this Crown of her favorite cartoon character, Princess Elena of Avalor.

I share with you his favorite Fandom in order to make future princesses dream.

I chose to represent this character with a cheerful and determined character as an example to follow for all young girls. Its original crown with fine and feminine details makes you want to feel like a real princess.

I chose to combine different materials in order to obtain the same aspect in all originality: crystal, soutache and pearls.
In this instructable, I guide you to make a beautiful Princess Crown.

Good fun.

Supplies

To make this Crown, you need:

  • Pearl sewing needles, Nb 10/13
  • Nylon to sew the fibers 0,10
  • Soutache fibers in nylon 3mm: 3 cords in nylon of different colors (gold, lurex gold and lurex white)
  • 1 Crystal Rivoli (Red) 25mm
  • Large faceted crystal beads (turquoise)
  • Small faceted crystal beads (white, gold and red)
  • Seed beads (gold, red and blue)
  • Scissors
  • Golden thread
  • 1 Headband
  • Liquid glue
  • Multi-purpose glue
  • 1 piece of velvet (red)

Step 1: To Sew

Take the 3 soutache cords and sew them together with the needle and the transparent nylon thread so as not to see the seams.

Give them a rounded shape to perfectly follow the shape of the crystal. Place a few small drops of liquid glue on the edges of the crystal, then stick the 3 soutache cords sewn together.
Leave a space at the top of the crystal in order to sew 3 small red faceted beads.

Step 2: Give the Shape of Drop πŸ’Ž

To obtain a teardrop shape, sew 3 rows of small red faceted beads:

A first row of 3 pearls against the crystal.
A second row of 2 pearls.
Then a last row of a single pearl.
Fill the small holes with red seed beads.
Then sew the soutache cords to close the tip of the red drop.

Step 3: The Closure

Sew a golden seed bead on each side of the drop. Fold the edges behind and place a small drop of liquid glue at the level of the soutache cord to be cut. Once the glue has dried, cut. Then sew the 2 ends.

Step 4: Give Shape

Sew a large turquoise crystal bead into the 3 soutache cords. Come and close with a small blue seed bead. Then give it a rounded shape, a bit like a parenthesis. Sew tight to obtain stiff ropes.

Step 5: Symmetry

Reproduce this same piece but in reverse order.

Step 6: Embellish the Headband

Take a simple headband, then apply a few drops of liquid glue to wrap the golden thread all around. Tighten the thread so as not to show the color of the headband.

Step 7: Fix the Drop

Place a small drop of liquid glue in the center of the head greenhouse to attach the crystal drop to it.
Then, sew it with the needle and the nylon thread passing through the golden thread of the headband.

Step 8: Sew the Different Pieces

Take the 2 pieces in the shape of a parenthesis. Place a drop of liquid glue on the soutache cords to be cut.
Sew them to the crystal drop.

Step 9: Reproduce Smaller Parts

Repeat this same operation with 2 slightly smaller pieces, in order to obtain a gradient.

Step 10: Sew the Decreases

Sew them on. Then create another even smaller duet to complete the shape of the crown.

Step 11: The Point

Add a faceted white bead and a golden seed bead to the very top of the crystal drop.

Step 12: Attach the Beads to the Headband

Sew the white crystal beads onto the headband, leaving the same space between each.

Step 13: The Back

Cut a circle out of a piece of red velvet, then glue it on the back of the crystal with multi-purpose glue.

Step 14: Create the Pearl Flowers 🌹

Create 4 small flowers and 2 large with the golden faceted beads:

For the small flowers, thread 6 golden beads with the nylon thread to make a circle. Then pass a red bead in the center. For large flowers, do the same thing but with 7 golden pearls.

Step 15: Sew the Flowers

To fix the flowers, you have to pass the needle through the hairband, then thread a few small golden seed beads to imitate the stems. Then pass the needle through the petals and attach to the soutache strings.
Here's how to get the details of small flowers on the crown.

Step 16: πŸ‘Έ the Coronation

The Cross of the Princess of Avalor is finally finished !!!

The result is very bright and worthy of a Pretty Princess. We have reproduced in our own way, the aspect with the same shapes and the same colors. The crystals give it this precious and symbolic aspect of a Princess.
Reflecting the joy of Princess Elena of Avalor.
