Custom Auto Center Caps

I have a Jeep and of course I want to customize it. I had recently purchased new wheel for the jeep but I did not like the center caps that came with the wheels. So I decided to make my own. This is a pretty simple Instructable as most of the work is in the design.

Supplies

• 3D printer
• Sandpaper
• Paint

Step 1: Measure & Design

The first step is to measure and design the new center cap. I wanted something that was simple and flat. I knew the hole size and fixation mechanism based on the stock center caps. I've added the completed .stl file here for reference.

Step 2: Print & Sand

After the center caps are printed. I sanded with 180 grit sandpaper to smooth the surface.

Step 3: Paint and Install

After sanding, I painted with flat black paint and then simply inserted into each wheel.
