Introduction: Custom Cling Sticker
What is a "Cling Sticker"? It is also called Static Cling Sticker, a sticker that use no adhesive and leave no residue so you can peel it off and re-stick to another place.
Where can we apply this cling sticker? Any glossy surfaces. Glass, plastic, ceramic, even on glossy paint. Some people get bored of their phones easily and buy many cases to decorate their phones. If you are one of them, try this project and start decorating your phones.
How much does it cost? Well, if you have the same habit as mine, you can make it at no cost ;)
Keep reading to find out how ^_^
Step 1: Look Into Your Smartphone's Box
Smartphones or tablets come with cling stickers to protect the screen during packaging and shipping process. Some have brief information about getting started or warning. I always peel it off and stick it on the box's glossy surface or on the glossy manual or simply put it inside the box. I don't know why I do that. Maybe thinking of re-sticking it back on gadget's screen? But that never happen anyway :P
Well, if you have thrown yours in the trash, you can search into someone else's box :D
Step 2: Double Sided Tape
3M or Scotch has some very thin on their double sided tape line up. The thinner the better. I don't wanna waste so much money on branded tape for this project, so I use a cheap local double sided tape which is also thin enough :)
We only need a scissors in this project. Cutter is optional.
Step 3: Find an Art
Find any art you wish to be your sticker. You can find one in a glossy paper magazine or you can print your own on a paper and apply transparent tape on top of it. Find an object that match your phone color and size. Cut your object.
Step 4: Let's Make Sandwich ... Ooops! Sticker.
This is non-edible sandwich. Phone's screen protective film at the bottom, double sided tape in the middle, art paper on top. Stick them all together. Press them. Trim the tape and sticker to the object's edge.
Step 5: There You Are
We are done. Stick it to your phone's glossy back cover. Peel it off when you feel boring. Change it whenever you want. Sometimes we want to get rid of the phone's brand, or the certification, the non disposable icon, the type of your phone and some other factory codes. Give it a go :)
