Introduction: Cute Bookshelf Out of Cardboard

This instructable will show you how to turn cardboard into a cute bookshelf. This project is fun and super easy! :D

So lets begin :)

Step 1: Things You Will Need-

  • Cardboard
  • Knife/Scissors
  • Marker pen
  • Scale
  • Paint
  • Brush

Step 2: To Make the Cardboard Pieces-

  • Take a cardboard.
  • Refer the image and draw the body on the cardboard.
  • Make sure the value of 'Y' is same in both the drawing. The value of 'Z' should be the size of width of a book.
  • The measurements I used-
    • X- 15 cm
    • Y- 13.5 cm
    • Z-13 cm
  • Cut them with scissor/ Knife.
  • Now, we have three elephant cutouts and 2 bridges to join them.
  • To one of the elephant cutout make a cut in the middle as shown in the picture.
  • Draw and make ears to the front bridge.
  • Assemble and see if everything fits perfectly or not.

Step 3: Paint and Assemble the Pieces-

  • Paint the cutouts.
  • Allow them to dry.
  • Now join the parts together as shown.
  • Fill it with books.
  • You are done! :D
