Intro: Cute, Easy Bookmark

In this tutorial I'll teach you how to make a super cute and easy bookmark!

STEP 1: Hi!

Thanks for choosing my tutorial! Today I'm going to be showing you how to make a cute, easy bookmark! It's super fun and you can use items you find around the house.

STEP 2: What You'll Need

•Scizzors
•Two pieces of index paper
•One or two colors of yarn/ribbon
•A pencil/pen
•Two or three crayons/markers, if you're going to be doing flowers as a design on the front, I recommend a green crayon/marker and then a crayon/marker the color of your ribbon/yarn.
•A ruler/measuring tape
•A hot glue gun

STEP 3: Step One

Get one of your index cards, your pen/pencil, ruler, and scissors.
Begin by tracing an oval/rectangle shape onto the index card. You want this to be 5 inches long.
Now, cut out your oval/rectangle. Place it on the other index card, trace the shape, and cut that out.

STEP 4: Step Two

Now, take your ruler and ribbon/yarn. For this step I used yarn, but you can use whatever.
You want three strips of ribbon/yarn. Cut one 4 inches long, and then cut two more 2 1/2 inches long.
Take your hot glue gun and put some glue on the top of one of the cut-out index cards. Take your ribbons and place the 2 1/2 inch ones out to the side of the glue. Place the 4 inch one in the middle of the glue.

STEP 5: Step Three

Now, take the index card without the ribbon/yarn on it, and squirt some hot glue all over it. Stuck it on top of the other index card.
You may have to go back and stick the nozzle of the glue gun in between the cracks and such in between the cards.

STEP 6: Step Four

Now, with the completed body, draw your design on the front.

STEP 7: Completed Product

Now your bookmark is complete! This makes a great gift for birthdays, Mothers' Day, etc.

Thanks so much for taking my tutorial! Please leave a comment! Tell me how I could improve and what I'm doing well! Leave a like as well!

Thanks, and bye!

Nice stuff. But I wonder if the kind of coloured pencil you use to make the flowers won't leave some marks on the pages of the book. I've never really used some.

Thank you! I actually used Crayola Crayons. The best thing you can do is kind of brush off all the excess wax/led and hope for the best!

They are so cute and would make great gifts!
