Hi there! I'm so happy that you decided to stop by. I hope that all is going well. Today I am going to show you how to take a small round wood plaque, and create a cute Halloween hanging decoration.

Supplies

One round wood plaque- I purchased my wood plaque at Michaels craft store

Paint- I'm using black and metallic berry by DecoArt

Wood tile letters

Halloween decorative ribbon

Hot glue/E6000

Twine

Paint brush

One ruler

Scissors

Assorted craft gems

One pencil for tracing

Optional-Any Halloween decoration to add to your hanging decoration. I'm using one spider ring.

Step 1: Drawing a Line in the Center of Your Wood Plaque

Place your ruler onto your wood plaque. Use your pencil and draw a line across the middle section of your round wood plaque. It is okay if you do not make your line exactly in the middle. The line is created so that we can create two sections on the board.

Step 2: Applying Paint

Next, take your paint brush and begin to add your black paint across the line you created. I painted one section black and the other I used a berry color. Once you have painted each section, allow it to completely dry.

Step 3: Cutting Your Ribbon

Take your ribbon and begin to cut out any of the designs that you would like to use. I decided to cut out a few ghosts from my ribbon. Another option is to use a decorative Halloween napkin and apply mod podge if you are not wanting to use ribbon. Set your decorations aside.

Step 4: Adding Craft Gems

Take your craft gems and begin to add them across the middle section on your wood plaque. Your craft gems will act as a divider.

Step 5: Adding Wood Tile Letters

You are now ready to add your wood letter tiles and decorations you had previously cut out. I decided to use E6000 when adding my ribbon cut outs, gems, and tiles to my design. I applied a small amount of E6000 onto each tile and placed it onto my wood plaque.

Step 6: Adding Twine and Optional-Adding Other Halloween Decorations

This next step is completely optional, but if you have any other Halloween decorations you would like to add to your design add it now. I added a spider ring that I used in another craft--Quick And Easy Dollar Tree Halloween Art Display Memo Board. I found a few spider rings at my local Dollar Tree and I removed the ring section off of the spider.

Next, take your scissors and cut a small section of twine. Flip your wood plaque over and apply a small amount of hot glue onto the ends of your twine. This will create a simple loop for hanging your decoration.

Step 7:

Your cute Halloween hanging decoration is complete. I hope that you have enjoyed this simple craft. Thank you for stopping by and creating with me. I'll see you soon!
