Introduction: DIY 3-Prong Spear

About: Instructa-bully is a young programmer and maker who just wants to do and make everything his way.

Welcome to my first instructable! I hope you like it, and please vote for me in the before and after contest! :)

Step 1: Materials

For this instructable you will need theses materials:

• Metal Dowel
• Metal rod that fits around dowel
• Two-Part Epoxy
• Die Grinder or similar grinding tool
• Drill
• Spear rubber (and strong string/thread)
• Car antennae/Thin metal rods/Etc.
• Lots of patience

Step 2: Cutting Fitting

Cut 3 inches (or desired amount) of the fitting rod off using a metal cutting tool (I use a heavy duty electric saw). This will be your fitting to attach the spearheads to the spear shaft.

Step 3: Drilling Your Shaft

Next you will have to drill your shaft. Before that though, you will have to grind it down, because it will slip out of most drills. I used a dice grinder powered by oxygen. This hole is where your rubber will come through.

Step 4: Readying Spearheads

Next you will have to ready your spearheads. You will have to make them first. I used the rods of a long screwdriver and cut them into thirds. With these I sharpened them with the dice grinder as well.

Step 5: Spear Rubber

If you have any spear rubber you can use that too, but it is suggested that you buy new ones, as this will be a quite powerful spear, depending on your level of expertise on grinding angles.

To add the spear rubber, you will have to cut the string inside down to size in order to fit through the hole you drilled earlier. Then tie it and melt it down with a lighter.

Next you will have to fasten your spear rubber. You can figure this part out though. All that I did is tie knots in the string and stick it for fully through the rubber, then take some kind of strong floss and tie it. Then melt that.

Step 6: Finishing It Off

Next you will have to use your 2-part epoxy resin to put t together. I put some tape below the fitting so that the epoxy won't drip out. Then put your spearheads in and tilt them to your desired angle. Let it out to dry.

Step 7: ACTION!

Finally you are done with your spear. You can do anything you like with it, but I highly recommend to NOT kill everybody in the house with you. :)
