DIY Apron From Old Dress

Introduction: DIY Apron From Old Dress

Step 1: Gather Materials

You will need fabric scissors and a hot glue gun. You can hand sew if you want a more polished look. (I was crunches for time since I was on my way to a baking party) :) You will also need a dress that you don't mind cutting up.

Step 2: Flip Dress Over

Starting at the bottom hem on each side seam, cut all the way to the armpit.

Step 3: Cut Scraps

Using the scrap fabric from the back of the dress, cut two, 3-inch-thick pieces of fabric. These will be used for your ties.

Step 4: Glue Strips to Dress

Glue each strip to the edge of each side of your dress. Make sure to keep them towards the midline and glue to the inside to hide the seam and glue.

Step 5: Tie a Halter

I had spaghetti-straps that I just ties into a halter. And thats it! Your done!

This is a great idea for making an apron! And new sewing required, so it's super easy. Well done.
