Introduction: DIY Boutonnieres

My friend is getting married and asked me to help her with the flowers. Fake flowers ended up being easier to secure and less expensive, so one of my cats and I helped her by making faux sunflower boutonnieres for the groomsmen.

Step 1: BoM

Fake flowers

Tape (if using live flowers)

Hot glue

Pins

Scissors/wire cutter

Step 2: Prep

Snip the flower head and leaves off the stem.

Step 3: Glue

I used hot glue to affix the pin backing to the head of the flower and then slid the leaves underneath the pin and added a little more hot glue. Let cool completely. Repeat with remaining flowers.

Step 4: Done!

Here are the boutonnieres we made for the groomsmen. Since they're fake sunflowers, they'll keep with no problems and are reusable.
