some holes in the back or an exhaust fan would be nice

When I place my laptop , found that around 3mm gap is there in the back side and small gap in two end stand .So I thought it is sufficient for ventilation even without the fan..But if after keeping your laptop there is no gap then it is better to make some holes for ventilation...
