DIY Camping Stove Out of Bean Cans

If you don't want to go and by a mini camping stove you can make one for free. Here are some steps to make one out of bean cans.

Supplies

• Sheet metal shears (or other metal cutting tool)
• 2 bean cans
• Soldering iron and solder
• Hamer and nail
• Gloves
• Kindling

Step 1: Step 1: Cut Two Strips of Tin From a Bean Can

Cut two strips of tin from a bean can. Cut them a little longer them the width of the can.

Step 2: Step 2: Solder the Two Strips of Can

Solder the two strips of can together in an X or + shape. This is what your cup or pan will sit on.

Step 3: Step 3: Nail Holes in the Can

Nail holes in the can. Nailing holes in the can will give the fire oxygen to stay alive. You can also blow through the holes to give it oxygen. Be sure to give it lots of holes.

Step 4: Step 4: Solder the Strips to the Top of Your Can (Optional)

Solder the strips to the top of your can. When you do this try to get a very try to make it very strong. This is very hard so if you don't have to.
